History
A number of iconic furniture designs by Rob Parry have now been re-released with the designer’s approval under the label: Rob Parry Originals. Rob Parry (1925) is a well-known Dutch designer of industrial design. Gerrit Rietveld was one of his teachers. Characteristic of his style are the elegant lines and the way in which materials are used.
Parry studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. After graduating, Parry started his own business. Until 1995 he designed interiors, furniture, stands, exhibitions, jewellery, lettering and toys. In addition, he was a teacher of architectural design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam for thirty years. Various designs by Rob Parry are in the collection of various museums, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. A new design – old design
With the approval of the Parry family, Sixty Fruits now the brings Lotus lounge chair back on the market. studioMom has redrawn the chair using old models . The original design has been technically improved on a number of points and the dimensions have been adjusted. In addition, studioMom did a color study and put together a nice collection of materials. After the introduction of the Lotus chair, studioMom developed the footstool in consultation (see photo) completely in line with the style of the Rob Parry collection. This design has been recognized by the GIO (Good Industrial Design).

March 14, 2019 was a festive day. The Parry family was offered two beautiful Lotus lounge chairs and the master designer Rob Parry (93) himself visibly enjoyed the beautiful result. A design chair with solid Zebrano wood, Argento frame and a beautiful red cushion from Kvadrat furniture fabric.
