Expert in restorations
Many Rob Parry armchairs were made in the 1950s and 1960s. Often they are chairs with a story: an heirloom, an armchair you used to sit in as a child, or you love the design.
At our Sixty Fruits Foundation workshop, we restore these original armchairs with great care and respect for Rob Parry’s design. Our craftsmen restore the woodwork, replace webbing and back springs, and make sure the chair is sturdy, comfortable and beautiful again.
This way, an armchair can last for many years again.

Replace girths
We replace the webbing with a new fastener and work with the existing screw holes and slots.
€250 including VAT.
Back springs and girths replaced
We replace the back springs working with the existing screw holes and slots. Includes rubber sock.
€330 including VAT.
Full restoration
We restore the woodwork, reattach the glue and replace the webbing and back springs.
€700 including VAT.

Restoration requests
If you have an old Rob Parry chair you know that this chair is extremely comfortable and that you have a fantastically beautiful piece of Dutch heritage in your home. That is exactly why we restore this chair. And we are happy to do it for you in our social enterprise workshop. We make sure that the chair looks beautiful again and that you can enjoy your chair for many years to come.
What are we doing?
The woodwork of a chair has suffered dents and scratches over the years. We have different types of woodwork renovation that we would like to discuss with you. We often remove the old paint or lacquer layers and treat the chair with wax. The result is beautiful, warm wood with a natural look. The special back springs are often corroded or the plastic shows holes. We replace these springs for you. The singles from the 60s are often Pirelli tires. We can professionally replace these girths and install them in the original way.
